IndiGo Boosts Saudi Arabia Connectivity with Daily Madinah Flights
India’s leading low-cost carrier, IndiGo, has announced a significant expansion of its services to Saudi Arabia, responding to overwhelming traveler demand. The airline confirmed it will increase its popular Hyderabad–Madinah route to a daily service and introduce a new daily direct flight from Mumbai to the holy city.
This strategic move is set to provide much-needed capacity for the thousands of pilgrims, business travelers, and tourists who journey between the two nations. The daily Hyderabad service will commence on November 16, while the inaugural Mumbai flight is scheduled for November 15.
Meeting the Surging Demand for Spiritual Travel
The expansion is primarily aimed at offering seamless travel for pilgrims undertaking Haj and Umrah. The original Hyderabad-Madinah route, which began in February this year, saw immediate success, confirming the high demand for direct connections to one of Islam’s holiest cities.
“Madinah is a destination of deep cultural and spiritual significance that attracts pilgrims from across the globe, including India,” said Vinay Malhotra, Head of Sales at IndiGo. “We are pleased to launch this new Mumbai-Madinah route with the objective to cater to the growing demand for religious tourism to the holy city. These flights…strengthen our vast domestic and growing international network.”
